State Central Committee Meeting

Pat Folk, Matt Welch, Lindsay Bergman-Debes, and John Dixon

On Tuesday, October 29, members of the Central Committee traveled to Lanham for the State Central Committee meeting.

Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings gave her report to the group. We won’t highlight all the things she talked about on our blog, but feel free to ask a Central Committee member for more details if you’re curious!

One thing that was emphasized is our focus on communication. The Party is running an inclusive, year-round coordinated campaign, has relaunched its website, and has started 30 social media for Diversity Leadership Councils. What does this mean for you? It means you have opportunities to get involved. Join us as a volunteer for activities like canvassing and phone banking and follow the Party (and us!) on Facebook.

You Can Run! Social

Friday, October 25, the Cecil County Democrat Club and the Cecil County Democratic Central Committee joined forces for the YouCanRun! Social at Minihane’s in Elkton.

Mentors who have previously held or run for office mingled with local Democrats interested in the possibility of running for office.

A YouCanRun workshop, run by the CCDC Elections Committee, for interested potential candidates will take place November 16 at the Elkton Library. For more details, contact Liz Dubravcic.
